Teddy Bear Bilíngue for Schools began its operations in 2020, inspired by our three decades of experience from Teddy Bear Cultural, a pioneering school specializing in English teaching for children and teenagers, the only one in southern Brazil operating since 1990.

We partner with primary and secondary schools to provide them with the pedagogical know-how to meet the growing demand for bilingual education in Brazil.

Teddy Bear Bilíngue for Schools leverages the know-how and excellent performance of Teddy Bear Cultural in forming bilingual students. This expertise enabled expansion into the Basic Education segment, establishing partnerships with schools committed to offering their students a high-quality bilingual education project.

OUR PROPOSAL

Our approach is to harness English as a powerful tool for learning. This means students develop their language knowledge/skills and their knowledge of academic content at the same time.

WHAT SETS US APART

We offer each school that partners with us a customized curriculum, based on the Teddy Bear methodology, combining the best of English language teaching with each institution’s own teaching method.

We provide complementary training for the bilingual teaching staff at the institution through the Teddy Bear Development Program.

Management of the program is shared, with the Teddy Bear coordination team overseeing administration, which provides greater support to other coordinators working in different departments of the school.

We use exclusive National Geographic Learning textbooks, which have been adapted to fit with school themes and have been customized for students at each level.

iTED, our pedagogical know-how in a digital format, consists of detailed lesson planning. It covers both the activities used to cover the curricular content to be taught in English as well as any supporting pedagogical tools.

Weekly sessions with our dedicated coordination team to ensure minimum teaching standards are maintained, that there is a shared commitment to helping students make the desired progress (using the Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR - as our benchmark).

BILINGUALISM IS A BRIDGE TO NEW AND IMPORTANT DISCOVERIES!

Neuroscience research shows that bilingual education brings significant cognitive benefits for children when they are exposed to a bilingual environment from the first years of childhood.

Among them, an appreciable enhancement in executive functions, which are important for school learning, as well as significant advances in metalinguistic knowledge.
